Il Ciocco Hotels - Barga

The fine mountain views from the balcony made every moment spent in the room special.

My room included central heating, a work desk, and a TV. The food was brilliant in the restaurant. Location: the hotel was really close to nature with a lovely view of the alps and Braga, and the mountain. The staff were more than adequate, and the free parking was available;)))

Despite the picturesque setting, the service left a lot to be desired. Communication was nearly non-existent. I encountered a major inconvenience with the misleading information regarding the proximity to the Il Ciocco Renaissance Hotel, which resulted in long and daunting walks on dark roads. The room I was initially assigned reeked of smoke and had an obstructed view, contradicting what I had booked. The lack of customer service amplified my frustration and dissatisfaction.

Consider bringing your own snacks or beverages, as the room doesn't have a mini fridge and options nearby can be limited.

The Belveder hotel offered a amazing view of Barga's valley. Staff, especially Ms. Rosa Rita, were helpful, especially with the transportation issue due to inaccurate map positioning. Breakfast was excellent, with a delicious variety each morning. The chalet we stayed in was well-equipped and very comfortable. One minor inconvenience was that the room was a bit noisy at night, as sounds from other guests carried easily. A car is highly recommended since the location is remote, made our arrival a bit tricky, but the area is great for exploration with beautiful hiking trails nearby.

The garden area was a perfect spot for relaxation, and we also loved the jacuzzi for winding down after a day of exploring. Just a heads up, the wifi could be a bit spotty at times, but it didn't take away from our overall great experience! 😊

Clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, with great outdoor dining areas available for breakfast overlooking the beautiful mountain views, make for a perfect getaway, especially for those with a vehicle as the location is about 43 km from the nearest airport.

While breakfast was solid, it was inconvenient to reach, requiring a steep walk without a vehicle. The bike rental nearby is a fantastic addition to exploring the beautiful surroundings.

The place has epic views that'll blow your mind! The staff were super friendly, always ready to help. Breakfast was pretty solid too, especially enjoyed it outdoors. One little bummer was that finding parking could get tricky when it's busy.
